Microblading

Microblading in Columbus, Ohio is a semi-permanent tattoo procedure used to replace lost brows or make eyebrows appear fuller. Our trained skin care specialists uses a combination of hair-like strokes and shading to create a natural looking brow. Although this technique is a tattoo, the pigment is placed closer to the surface of the skin allowing for the tattoo to naturally fade over a two year time period. This gives us the opportunity to customize and change brow shape and color as you age.

This semi-permanent procedure is performed by using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigment matched to your specific color to artistically place hair-like strokes to form a natural looking eyebrow. This procedure is used to partially replace missing or thinning eyebrow hair. Our team of providers have been fully trained so that only the most discerning eye will know it is not your real hair.

Different skin types retain pignment in different ways and for different length of time. Some patients may require a touch up after 6 months. Others may not need a touch up for 2 years.

Am I a candidate for Microblading?

During an initial consultation our skin care specialist will listen to your concerns and discuss the risks and benefits of Microblading.  You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding at appointment times.

Is Microblading painful?

This procedure can be slightly uncomfortable. We will discuss numbing options with you.  The sound of the tattooing process is typically what bothers patients so we suggest bringing some headphones.

What are the side effects of Microblading?

Most patients experience slight inflammation immediately following the procedure. The area may slightly and lightly scab. Your eyebrows may appear darker immediately following the treatment however will fade over a 2 week period to reach your desired result.

How much does Microblading cost?

The cost for a Microblading session is $650. This fee includes the first treatment appointment and the perfection session 4-6 weeks later.

Yearly touch up costs $250

Need a few more strokes? We can do this. The cost is based on the amount of strokes needed.

Is there anything I should stop using prior to treatment?

Please avoid Aspirin, ibuprofen, Retin A, and Renova. Drinking alcohol the day of or the day before your session can increase bleeding and affect the color retention.

How long is each appointment?

Consult: 30  minutes

1st treatment: 2 1/2 hours

2nd treatment: 1 1/2 hours

The life of your brows:

Many things can affect the color and life of your tattooed brows.  Your skin type is number one.  Oliy skin breaks up and fades the tattoo faster than dry skin.  Topical treatments like tretinoin can also increase fading of your new brows.  Continue using tretinoin after your brows have healed, but avoid rubbing the cream directly over your brows.
