We are so glad you are here. Thanks for spending some time learning about who we are, what we do, and how we might be able to add value in your life.
Our mission at Columbus Facial Plastics is three-fold:
My primary goal as your physician is to help you look, feel and function at your very best. Whether we are reversing the effects of aging, repairing the face after a cancer, or restoring form and function after an injury, it is my great privilege to be a part of your journey. By developing a trusting, personal relationship in a comfortable and convenient environment, we aim to provide the outstanding level of care that we would want for ourselves and our families.
In addition to practicing exclusively in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, I also serve as the medical director for our non-surgical services. We are fortunate to have three of the most experienced aesthetic providers in central Ohio in their respective fields. Shireen Shatti, CNP, and Nancy Cotterman, RN, have been caring for our patients for a combined 25 years, you won’t find anyone with more training or skill!
Spend as much time as you need learning more about our team and the services we provide. We are passionate about what we do, and we would love to see you soon.

View moreDr. Stephen Nogan is double board certified and specializes exclusively in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Facial Plastic Surgery. He completed his Head and Neck Surgery residency training at The Ohio State University before doing a Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship with Dr. Michael Sullivan and Dr. Stephen Smith. He then accepted a full time faculty position at The Ohio State University where he practiced exclusively in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for several years before taking over the practice of his mentor, Dr. Sullivan. He remains an adjunct assistant professor at Ohio State and collaborates on surgical education, humanitarian missions and research. Originally from western Pennsylvania, Dr. Nogan attended Grove City College where he played basketball for a semester before setting his focus on a career in medicine. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and was accepted to multiple medical schools. He chose to attend medical school at Penn State University where he scored in the top 1% nationally on Step 1 of his medical licensing exam and matched in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University, a perennially top ranked residency program that had the highest surgical volumes in the country during his training.
Throughout his educational journey, the biggest impact made on Dr. Nogan’s professional life has been the example of excellence and character exhibited by his mentors. This inspirational mentorship has led Dr. Nogan on 15 surgical mission trips to 3 different countries. It resulted in his selection to the Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 in 2018, an honor that recognizes both personal achievement and community service. And it led to the formation of Columbus Facial Plastics—a facial plastics practice with purpose, founded by his mentor 25 years ago, and laser focused on results, connection and community.

Learn MoreVery attentive and knowedgable! Dr Nogan was great! I broke my nose the end of July and my regular ENT had cancelled my appointment. I called OSU and they were able to work me in within 2 days. He was thorough and seemed experienced and knowledgible. He made a plan for repair and his assistant Chrystal handled the details. I had surgery on Olentangy River Rd and it went very well. Dr Nogan did a septum repair and I was surprised that I needed minimal pain meds afterwards. He has done a couple of followups since. He is always attentive and willing to listen and answer any questions. Great office! Pleased with the results! I can breathe again!
Ultimate Professional. Dr. Nogan did a fantastic job fixing my deviated septum and as an added bonus he straightened my nose as well. He is very easy to talk to and makes himself available to answer any and all questions. I highly recommend him
Dr. Nogan and Staff were wonderful. Dr Nogan answered all of my questions questions about the procedure, what I could expect the results to be and how long recover should take. It really helped me to be comfortable about my decision to proceed. The Staff at the OSU Surgical Center were very professional and explained what would be happening during the procedure. Thanks for making what could be a stressful time, not stressful at all.
Always a pleasant visit. Dr. Nogan is an extremely skilled surgeon. He listens to the patients and takes the time to explain the procedures he is about to perform and the possible outcomes. It just so happens, the outcomes are always spectacular. He is reliable, pragmatic and honest. He is surrounded by an equally competent and pleasant staff. Dr. Nogan has great sense of humor, which is essential when you are about to go under the knife, he is an excellent doctor and a great addition to the Ohio State Medical School.
A truly awesome experience! Rarely have I encountered a doctor who possesses the right mix of professionalism and patient concern. Any trepidation that I may have had going in was quickly erased by Dr. Nogan’s unparalleled medical knowledge and expertise and his spectacular “bedside” manner. And a sense of humor to boot!
He is a very talented Dr. I’m blessed to have him as my Dr. And friend!
Dr. Nogan is simply the best! Dr. Nogan and his staff are wonderful, courteous, and very professional. I have visited his office for both Botox and laser treatments. His relaxed, friendly demeanor quickly settled my nerves. He honestly and thoroughly explained the procedures and expectations. My results are even better than I expected. I will definitely visit him again for future procedures! I can truly say that he is the…
Dr Nogan is an exceptional person and physician! . He makes you feel welcome, puts your mind at ease, discusses with you thoroughly what he will perform and what you can expect. I was very hesitant because I scar so… easily ,and to my surprise I had no scar. He used a wrinkle in my face from my age to make the incision match . You can have a nice doctor but the most important aspect is that, is he the best in his field? Yes, he is! He always does a follow up himself. He has a caring bedside manner that you will appreciate. He has helped me in many ways beyond just doing surgery for me. I highly recommend Dr. Nogan for your plastic surgery needs!
I originally saw Dr. Nogan because I was having problems breathing through the right side of my nose. After he did the exam, Dr. Nogan took the time to explain all of my options. Eventually, I did have a rhinoplasty to help reconstruct my nasal passages and he was amazing! My nose looks the same, no exterior scaring and I can breathe again! I would highly recommend Dr. Nogan to all of my friends and family.
I Had An Amazing Experience. I am very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Nogan by by primary care physician. The entire experience has been excellent. He is very experienced and also easy to talk to anytime that I have had questions. I would recommend him with great confidence.
The effects of aging are most evident on your face and neck. So it’s not surprising that facelift surgery has become the third most desired facial plastic surgical procedure. The term “lower facelift” most commonly refers to the lower third of the face and neck. A facelift (rhytidectomy) will give your face a more youthful, fresher look and in the process, boost your self-esteem.
