The program has been officially recognized and accredited through The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Fellowship applicants must complete an accredited residency in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, or Plastic Surgery. Dr. Michael Sullivan and Dr. Stephen Smith will share in the one-year instruction and training of the fellows.
When asked why he is involved in the fellowship program Dr. Michael Sullivan stated “I’ve always found it rewarding to teach young doctors, and pass on my years of knowledge and experience in Facial Plastic Surgery.” Applicants begin the 12 month program in July 2013.
Following successful completion of the fellowship, the trainees will be fully qualified to practice all aspects of the Centre for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery including Facial Cosmetic Surgery, Head and Neck Reconstruction, and Facial Trauma Reconstruction.
